The primary product produced at BSF Organic Farms is insect protein, which studies have identified as a valuable additive to aquaculture and animal feed. When this insect protein is manufactured in a large enough scale, it has the capacity to supplement agricultural environments and reduce pressure on the existing fish stocks and vegetable protein supplies. Two-thirds of landfill waste is biodegradable organic matter from households, business and industry, which makes this not only an enticingly viable prospect, but also an increasingly necessary consideration.

The production of this insect protein results in frass as a by-product, which is sold as organic fertiliser that is usable for home gardens and has application in larger scale agriculture also.
